Is price sitting like Ovie, or is he nursing an injury?

Every team is nominated a player. Price dropped out (personal, I think?), so another goalie had to be named...it wasn't going to be Niemi, so another was chosen from another team. Thus, Montreal has nobody in the ASG because of the team allocation spread.

2 goals, 1 assist, +5 last night against Arizona. And first star of the week. But still not an All Star.

Oh well, he can get a bit of rest and prepare for the stretch drive.

Leafs are in free fall. Fucking sucks.

8-9 since Nylander came back. 3 points in 17 games for the $10 million player.

Have leafs screwed their chances of winning a Stanley Cup? Marner and Matthews will sign huge contracts. Who's gonna get dumped?

Marner, maybe. Matthews doesn't deserve a huge contract with the way he's been playing.

Nylander has to be dumped. What a terrible signing. Maybe we can trade him to the Canucks for Josh Leivo. Gardiner is almost certainly gone too.

The most hilarious McDavid breakaway last night, Zak is King and Lucic doubles up on his season total. Our #19 was very impressive after the first one and it seems as though a trade is soon to happen.

Just a bit of a rough patch for the Leafs - I wouldn't be too concerned.

The Leafs banked a lot of points to be able to ride this out.

Not sure what to think about Nylander though. The Leafs were doing so well without him - in hindsight it might have been better to hold the line and let him sit out for the rest of the season.

Matthews floor is $10M, the Leafs are going to bend over backward to sign him too. The guy is 1.35 PPG so it wouldn't be a bad signing lol.

I would surmise it's a fairly rare ocurrence for a team to not have anyone in the All-Star Game like this.

In today's NHL? Yes. Go back 15 or 20 years and it was pretty common. The 2001 game had no players from Montreal, Minnesota, Columbus, Calgary, New York Islanders, St Louis, Nashville...

Nylander has driven possession possibly more than anyone not names Tavares or Marner in the last 5 games. He's gotten terrible puck luck but the offense will come back. I wish Babcock would fucking let the lines settle down and not switch Matthews' linemates every game.

Gardiner, don't let the door hit you on the way out.

I really don't understand the logic behind booing a current player on a team who is currently sitting 3rd in the conference.

I don't agree with booing an individual player for his play (something like Messier in Vancouver is understandable), but watching him consistently make the same mistakes on routine plays for 5 years is infuriating.

I'm going to be at the airport for 5 hours tomorrow and I could probably spend the entire time compiling his lowlights from just the past month alone.

Another spectacular game from Laurent Brossoit. There isn't a hotter goalie in the NHL right now. Jets outshot 44-26 but beat the Golden Knights 4-1. He stopped all 26 Vegas shots in the second period. Anyone interested in a slightly used Vezina Trophy finalist from last season?

^There's a lot of people surviving in Edmonton somehow.

I will be curious to see how Brossoit's role evolves as we get into the home stretch of the season. Are the Jets going to move from the 1-2 arrangement they've had up to now to more of a 1-1A type arrangement where Brossoit keeps getting more starts? He has certainly earned his plaudits this season.

It would be nice to not have to go all in on Hellebuyck like the Jets did in last year's playoffs and give Helle a little more rest to have him last longer down the stretch, but does that mess with his head too much to not have him as the undisputed #1 starting goalie?
