This is a small scale cookie-cutter hotel made for the suburbs, it was not designed for its surroundings or to be part of an urban form. I'm not sure what people are expecting. There is no deck going on the 2nd floor.

Do we know where Carrabba's will be located in the hotel? I assume it will be in the NW corner of the building at the corner of Canada and Main?

If you look just to the right of the canopied entrance to the hotel, you can see a second outside entrance, which will be for Carrabba's.

If you look further to the right, you can see a small area enclosed by short brick faced pillars, which I believe will be for an outdoor patio.

The picture on their site also shows an outdoor patio on the corner closest to Main Street. Although this could have been just a preliminary rendering. Still would have been nice to have that rooftop patio.

Well, the photo does show a second area to the left of the canopied entrance, also enclosed by those bricked pillars - perhaps a second patio for the lobby coffee shop??

Since it's a Corey-Craig property, you'd think they'd have some type of Tim Horton's as part of the project. I don't think that a lobby coffee shop with patio would be in competition with Carrabba's, so that could be the plan.

Here are a couple of new photos of the Hyatt Place Hotel (yes, I made triple sure that I had the name right).

The more I look at it, the more I think it should have been taller. Maybe they thought that the market wasn't there to build bigger.
