Woah, that's a cell phone set!? I actually thought these were professional.

Amazing....you captured everything I love about both of these places.

Your shit is always so good. The beach shots are glorious.

How is Mexico City? Did you have a lot of opportunity to explore?

Thanks. Was in Mexico City for 4 days so I got to explore quite a bit, though obviously still only a fraction of that city. Still, at least got to know the central, trendy neighbourhoods of Roma, La Condesa, and Zona Rosa/Juárez quite well (sort of a hybrid West/North End Toronto equivalent), as well as the Historic Centre, and a bit of a few other neighbourhoods like the former town-turned upscale suburb of Coyoacán and the more working class neighbourhoods of Guerrero and Doctores.

It's pretty cool though. Amazing food, from the taco stands on the street to the more upscale restaurants, just about everything I ate & drank was excellent - and of course cheaper than it would be in Toronto. Really great design in so many of the places too, and like everything else there, tons of patios & courtyards - things are very open to the outside. Lots of great architecture to see, from historic to mid-century to cool new buildings; and lots of graffiti and really good street art. The metro is cheap and very useful; and there are just seemingly endless things to see & do & eat.

It can be a little sketchy of course, though we never actively felt unsafe at any point either. My main problem with the city is that it's just a little too big & hectic, and feels kind of suffocating. Like, it's a city the size of New York but without it's rivers & islands & coastline & generous parks to break up the urbanity - it's just a big mass of city with no respite spreading out in every direction, compounded by busy streets with poor pedestrian infrastructure. Things also seemed to shut down oddly early and it could be kind of eerily quiet & dark at night.

But still, overall, a very vibrant, colourful, organic city worth seeing.
