However this city have still be alive...

I've just spend 4 friggin hours on making a single test building with brand new textures and everything - and what do you know - the textures turns out looking exactly the same from a distance ( just like this city )... so that pretty much means I'll have to use a lot larger res with a lot more detail instead of just using a few windows for textre and letting SU copy past it all around..

Hmm... I dunno... might as well go with this one then.. and just tune it a bit

( I'm I the only one going trugh this with SketchUp??? - the urge to create something that doesn't seem creatable? )

That's a sweet design!

It's however not where I got the idea from..

I got the idea from a monument in Singapore

About the city it isn't compltely dead... this weekend I finally found out why I couldn't get Kerkythea to work - it turns out all the faces was reversed...

So now I'm slowly correcting that and re adding all the materials ( yep that's a lot of time wasted )

So in the mean while some 1 material renderings will have to do

Hi guys... well fed up with the hole reversed faces and lack of detail in the old city I desided to start over... so I did!

There's still a looooong way to go - but I desided to make a small preview..

I'll keep you updated as the city grows..

Looks better now than before. You should connect that tallest tower, a tower that size would not stand up and would sway too much. Make like skybridges!! That would be cool

Yeajh I finally made Kerkythea work for me

And there will deffinetly be skybridges!

( I modelled it after my "Atlantis Tower" from the first version - it needs more detail and is deffinetly a work in progress )

While I'm at it I noticed people are swapping city commercials and adding them to billboards in their city... should anyone be interested in a little free publicity shown around Atlantis City just let me know

NB - the picture should not be too small and preferable look as realistic as posible - I will also reserve the right to edit or crop it as I see fitting

WOW, I hope this is the final version of Atlantis City

I'd love to have a Staunton Billboard somewhere, I can picture Atlantis being a big resort travel destination.

It will be - from now on I will simply change the buildings I dislike - I have started over one too many times

I'd love a Staunton Billboard

And yes - it is as mentioned before located in what currently is Great Inagua in the Bahamas ( man I feel like a nerd writing this ) and will be very Miami inspired - packed with ocean front hotels and expensive condo buildings... all scattered around on small man made islands linked by bridges...

( the only difference is that old people are banned here )
