Yes, as well as North Ave BRT. Both of which intend to be implemented in the near term as part of the More MARTA implementation.

Per Jim Irwin, president of New City, the project is still on track for an early 2020 groundbreaking.

A few pieces of equipment have appeared on the site, presumably for demo.

Sweet deal. Would be great if this one broke ground and the Angier project got off the ground shortly thereafter. I’m excited for New City’s residential project adjacent the park.

Went by today. There’s about 18 soil tests spread over 3 rows and appears as if a fourth row of soil tests will commence soon.

Agreed, it’ll bring some interesting architecture to the area. O4W needs some inspiration beyond its apartment complexes. New City will definitely provide a jolt. I’m hoping we see more project announced for the EST, there’s still a tremendous amount of land to be developed within a few blocks.

The developer of a new $1 billion project on the Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail has filed a request with the city for permits to start construction on two 11-story office buildings.

The dual mid-rise towers at 760 Ralph McGill will be connected by a three-story pedestrian bridge. Brassfield & Gorrie is the general contractor for the project, which will rise along the most densely developed and heavily used section of the Beltline.

The new permit would allow New City to develop up to 500,000 square feet of office and retail space. The design team includes Seattle based architect Olson Kundig and architect of record HKS Inc.

“The architectural drawings were recently finished, so we felt it was prudent to file for the building permit,” New City President Jim Irwin said, downplaying any connection between recent market intelligence 760 Ralph McGill is generating inquiries from potential tenants. “We have time before we begin vertical construction and thought we’d get ahead,” Irwin said of the permitting process.

The first phase of the 12-acre project would also include a 350-unit apartment building, a hotel and social club. It could take up to three years to complete.

Excavation of the site is underway. The work, which includes digging for seven stories of subterranean parking and the installation of major utilities, could take nearly a year.

Agree...we have a pond and three water features in our little EAV backyard oasis.

I actually love the look of the office buildings...I complained about it a while ago I thought it was too blocky, but I do find the design of them quite interesting.

I looked at the site plan, and Phase I will include only 2 of the 3 office buildings you see in the rendering. The 'park', hotel, and apartment are also in phase I. Phase II will be the third office building behind Nu-Grape, then a second building across the street from Bantam pub at 750 Ralph McGill. It may be years before we see phase II.
