I was wondering, now that we have a rather populist mayor, our chances are higher than ever.

London (the boring one). Occupational hazard. Actually a very nice place to raise a family, but it ain't no Montreal. As the (twist on the) saying goes, London is a nice place to live, but I wouldn't want to visit there.

.... at least you can take your car and drive to Montréal anytime. Quite the drive, but you can do it.

Would be another story if you lived in B.C. or Alberta.

London always amazed me by its almost non-existant Expressway system. How 500 000 peoples deal with it ??

I could only imagine London with Freeways: it would probably sprawl worse than it currently does (which is very badly). Still, there is no quick way to get North/South or East/West in the city, unless you go to the bottom of the southern periphery for the 401. Which is of little use for 95% of all the trips taken within the city. And transit really sucks compared to Montreal (only students and poor people use the transit here, whereas in Montreal and other large cities, it is less restricted to these two groups). I live relatively close to my place of work (Western U) so I can bike to work most days for 8 months of the year.
