What exactly is this going to be again? .. I'm not sure if it's been mentioned yet or not... I see the crane every so often driving up to the Crossing.. just another multi-unit office structure, I'm guessing?

Phase 12-4 Plan

This is the construction plan that was recently approved by Regional Council. I'm on the wrong side of the country to confirm this but it is likely under construction right now.

Some of the steel structure has been complete since this was taken.
Going to be quite ugly I believe.

Apparently this building caused a stir in the construction business as Bird is the general contractor and they don't use union workers.

Alas, it is by their very nature that the only concern is there own.

I think there should be universal union rights in Canada.

Big things happening... what will the naysayers do now?

Also funny, how they always oppose dense developments when many currently exist prior to Halifax being as well positioned as it is for growth!

Looks like Burnside might be loosing a permanent tower crane. The old blue one at the top of Wright Ave looked to be coming down today. Maybe just a paint job or repair 2so we'll see.

Cherubini Steel Fabricators had that up at the Wright Ave shop, they've since moved to a bigger shop on Wilkinson. Hopefully it moves there, it's always a good one to inflate the crane count.

Ouch! Hopefully with all the infrastructure in place it won't be long 'till the actual lights are installed. I honestly don't know what has taken them so long as they had that buttoned up a few months ago.

I always slow down when I approach that intersection as there are always at least 2-3 cars deep waiting to shoot across the lane at the first break in traffic, or sometimes before that break opens up, as your photo illustrates.
