New York City - Brooklyn & Manhattan Skyline Shots Late October 2006 Part 1

Okay I'll start with Brooklyn where my visit first began at the Bed & Breakfast the next morning after a worldwind of rushing from La Guardia after one of my luggage was sent on a different flight and waiting for a couple of hours for it.

Then I had to rush to get checked in at the B&B. Not that it matter we were short on time, then my friend who lives in NY headed the wrong direction and was going back to Long Island. The bad thing is he has a Hummer with a navagation system still he went the wrong direction. I had to check in and then rush over to Manhattan's upper east side (almost Harlem) for a nice dinner of Peruvian Food.

Anyway it was just a briefing of how my trip started when I first arrived in NYC. Oh btw it was my first trip back to the city in SIX LONG YEARS.

Okay now the skyline shots I took the same day from Long Island City.

More to come, below a preview of the others.
ps: Sorry about the grainy photos, it was the best I could do with the camera I have.

Sweet!!!! I love your pics of the NYC skyline. I think some of those new condo towers in LIC are bland & uninspiring - it's ashame bc its on such a prime location.

Brooklyn and Philly are cousins it is almost scary with how the neighborhoods look alike in alot of sections.

Manhattan looking great I love the old looking residential highrises. Cant wait for the new WTC towers to go up and I hope they make them taller then the originals.

Great Brooklyn shots! I love the diversity of bldg. types in the Atlantic Ave. photos.

I can't figure out exactly where you were staying. Were you in Boerum Hill (Smith Street area)?

I'm not sure the name of the neighborhood but I was staying on Bergen Street and just a few blocks east of Smith. Great neighborhood it was too, I love that area.

Love the shots chris. The one tall ass LIC condo tower actually looked kind of nice to me. Nice and thin we good cladding. Maybe it looks funky in brighter lite.
