It could have been worse if the Golden Arches aka Mc Donalds opened a restaurant there. Although I can see if they had opened say a Nemesis Coffee Shop there that would have been cool though!

I realize that this is a(n as usual pathetic) troll job, but serious question,..

What were you expecting?

And are you telling us that Onni is NOT going to have any Starbucks in Gilmore Place because (in your opinion, it seems) they are, .....I don't know,....lowgrade or too low brow?

And if it does happen that a Starbucks DOES in fact open up somewhere in the commercial/retail component of Gilmore Place, are you then going to come back here (or in the Gilmore thread)....and proclaim...

After years of anticipation, Onni is only able to attract Starbucks to the great Gilmore place. Sad!

Because I can almost guarantee you there will be a Starbucks somewhere in there (or many many more) when they do eventually get done open up.

And I like it when people are consistent in their criticism and not big fat hypocrites.

A sad close up shot to confirm it is a black logo.

A sad look at how close it is to the sky bridge to the station.

A sad look to give you a sense of its scale.

A sad look from higher up for better vantage point..

Yes because it's 1989 and we gauge the success of our redevelopments by how many spaghetterias have signed up...

Heightened expectation that this be a high end mall, too good for Walmart or T&T. So far the highest end tenant is Testla .... a not-doing-so-well car dealer

Sporting Life is opening, they are a high-end sportswear store with brands like Canada Goose, Arcteryx, Polo Ralph Lauren, adidas by Raf Simons, adidas By Stella McCartney, Barbour, Boss, etc.

Basically the Holt Renfrew of Sportswear.

Lol! How very sad indeed. I'm bawlin'.

There used to be a McD's (and IHOP) at the mall too. And I don't mind one there either. I even wished they didn't have to close down once excavations began.

Well, duh - you can't easily put kitchen venting in that glass box.
The rendering is by an artist - not a technical person.
