Great to see! I love watching this one progress. Exciting seeing the steel going up so quickly!

I was driving by the site when they had the gate open on the Gratiot and Woodward side. The elevator core of the tower appears very close to the height of the fencing. It shouldn’t be much longer before the tower elevator core is finally visible from the street level.

anyone know why there haven't been any updates to the daily construction vids on the youtube channel since July 25?

I believe the YouTube user works for a company that hasn’t returned to the office yet so they still have limited access when something goes wrong with the camera. I’m not sure of the exact situation but that’s what I’ve gathered from various sites.

I walked by the site today and the entire ground floor of the block is framed in.

I saw that supposedly the guy who manages it is on vacation and will be returning soon.

That makes sense. Who knows. I'm sure it'll be back on eventually though. It's shut down before a few times and has always came back on. I guess we'll see.

Steel looks like it's up to about the 5th floor.

Frankai Videos posted a short video with some close up shots of the site. They're up to the 4th floor on the north side of the block. There's a glimpse at Bedrock's Fowler Building in the last shot too.

I just saw these great photos in the

Again speaking of what’s not to like I stumbled upon this pic of the David Stott framed by multiple cranes.

Forrent

Bonus find! I was tempted to attempt to find a pic from 2015 when the previous owner allowed a burst water main to go undetected until water came pouring out the front door which was quickly becoming encased in ice for those who don’t remember. But why share the space with these beauties? Great angle of the Hudsons site is just the cherry on top

And a 1 bedroom studio in the jewel is only $1,300 a month! That would get you a crappy 70s eyesore here in D.C.

I like to go to Redfin and look at the condos in Chicago. They're usually in iconic towers and for $300k. A steal (even when you add the high HOA costs and taxes)!
