I had family visiting and they all said "Wow, what a great looking space...why isn't it full of stores" and my only answer was "I think they are getting it ready for a major overhaul". I wasn't sure but it was the only think I could think of.
Does anyone have insight into what is eventually going to happen here? If they are going to keep it as an empty eyesore as part of the Uptown Pedway, the City of Saint should intervene - in my opinion. Either renovate and fill it with stores, re-purpose it as office space, or find a buyer who will.
It is sad. So much potential now that the rest of Uptown is booming.

What's bothered me more is that almost none of the departing shops have relocated elsewhere- they've just closed. Not that I'm a big fast food guy, but you'd think McDonalds and Deluxe would be happier with storefronts uptown where they could actually get traffic after 2PM.
I wonder what the Delta plans to do? They spent a lot on interior renos but the outside of Brunswick Square has gone from ugly to poorly maintained and ugly this decade.
