Do you guys think the TSMC announcement and the swarm of TSMC suppliers coming to the Phoenix Metro Area will be the tipping point for an airline(s) to launch a non-stop flight from Phoenix to Asia (perhaps Taipei, Taiwan)?

You two! Do you remember EVA Air came to PHX over decades ago. I remember that I saw EVA Air in PHX as part of Spring Training trips. I was there before. We were there before.

Charters to bring teams in for Spring Training is very different than selling 250 seats several times a week.

Just saw a message from Sky Harbor that the Sky Train is shut down from Terminal 4 to the east economy garage for three to four weeks. Anyone know what's up?

You have take shuttle bus from entire T3 or T4 to 44th St station. I won't ride on SkyTrain for a while.

March 24, 2021

Hawaiian Airlines has announced a new nonstop service that will run this summer between Phoenix and Maui. Starting just before Memorial Day and running through mid-August, the airline will use an Airbus A321neo to connect Arizona to Maui, making it a new route for the carrier but not a new route for either airport...

Yes! Very exciting news! Hawaiian came to PHX in 2002. It's been over nearly two decades since they was first flight PHX-HNL. They operating at entire T4 before. After America West was merge with US Airways. They kicked out of the entire T4. They relocating to T3.

So...rumored on another site

It appears PHX-HNL and PHX-OGG may be a go with Southwest beginning either the first or the last week of June. Looks like it was posted on crewmembers bid lines, but hasn't been announced or posted for sale yet.

It was mentioned PHX-HNL at 3 daily flights, lets see if that happens. Expected announcement is next week.

Three times a day would be amazing. I would have assumed more like three times a week.

I did not expect this. I saw it on the airliners.net forums. Hope they done it well. We’ll see what happens. This is for 737-MAX8. They has more capabilities, more fuel-efficient, and more range, too. Whatever if they have redeye flight from HNL.

Hoping for good intro sales. Been saving SW points for a few years to go to Hawaii but I've been hesitant with routing through San Jose or Oakland.

I wonder if other cities are getting similar service or if Southwest is assuming a lot of the passengers will be on connecting flights. Would have never thought there'd be such frequent service to multiple locations in Hawaii.

That’s too. They should be done very well. Lot of competition. It will operate on the 737-MAX8.
