Holy god... I skimmed through the last couple of pages and Toronto has a TON of amazing projects coming along. I'm super jealous of you guys. Last time I visited was back in 2012 and the whole place looks different now

Toronto has 200 highrises under construction and 400 at various stages of approvals, the last 3 pages are just a small fraction of what's going on since UZI started regular updates

85 hanna, 6 storey office building addition atop an existing 4 storey office building:

55 Broadway, site plan application filed. Zoning is approved.

"portland common" - resubmission in advance of zoning approval:

Union Park, $3.5b USD development with 3+m sf of office space, 800 res units, and a 2 acre park constructed atop the rail corridor. A mini Hudson Yards in a way, same developer too. Pre-application.

245 Queen East, site plan application, zoning approved:

"Kings Landing" - large project on Sheppard north of the 401. Developer swears the name has no relation to Game of Thrones. Site Plan application, zoning approved:

507 Kingston Road:

3445 Sheppard East. Outer suburbs midrise:

935 The Queensway. Rezoning application in Etobicoke:

86 John Street. This lot is only a few metres wide:

580 Evans. Suburban Etobicoke location right at the 427/Gardiner:

1421 yonge. Site plan application, zoning approved. This will be the tallest at Yonge & St. Clair:

409 Huron. Quiet residential street near U of T. Student housing.

120 church. Rezoning just approved.

Sunnybrook plaza redevelopment on the Eglinton LRT:

71 Redpath. Rental building at Yonge and Eglinton:

89 Avenue Road. Zoning approved, site plan application:

4800 Yonge. Yonge and Sheppard, will be tied as the tallest building in North York.

325 Bogert. About 2km west of 4800 Yonge.

2581 Yonge.

Lansing Square. Large redevelopment on Sheppard in Scarborough:

Commerce Court 3 has now been approved. Will be the tallest office building in the core and the largest addition since 1976:

Riocan Hall. This is a large redevelopment of a major downtown theatre that is in itself only about 25 years old.

2014 Bathurst. Directly south of the new Eglinton LRT.

Many, many, many more. That's only the last 2 months of development proposals. And it's been a quiet two months.

^ Looks like they're building the office tower with steel-reinforced concrete instead of steel. Interesting.

CIBC square looks basically like what Shangri-la wanted to be if it had a bigger budget.

Some of those projects really don't sit well with me at all. Mostly because many of them are simply too dense or tall IMO. Ah well, this city is changing...though I have deep concerns for this city when I see projects like the Riocn Hall redevelopment.

The Well:

The stepped mid-rises on the north side, face one of the sweetest little strips of Wellington Street (was/is a very cool suprise). Hope the street level of the new buildings respond and enhance this lovely slice off Spadina Ave.

I see this type construction quite often though I'm not sure why one over the other. Perhaps many different reasons?
