When Gehry was doing derivative and copy-work of other architects he could do excellent designs.

Then something went wrong.

The design of the Disney Hall in LA was so defective the exterior had to be partially resurfaced.

Gehry designed a residence hall for a university on the east coast. There were so many defects in the design, they figured it was cheaper just to tear the building down. Gehry has no respect for human beings.
In many circles Gehry is considered toxic. He's the last architect they would consider.

Personally, I love Gehry's work. Disney Hall is brilliant. Do all lines have to be straight and perpendicular? No. And the reason it had to be resurfaced was because it was too shiny, not because it was defective. Maybe you should keep your negative opinions to yourself.

Beaudry also mentioned that the Tishman 615 building was a blue color before a recent(?) makeover.
