Trammell Crow Company breaks ground on Fulton Labs development

Trammell Crow Company (TCC) broke ground on Fulton Labs, a best-in-class laboratory facility that is being developed to help solve chronic lab space shortage throughout the Chicago region. Fulton Labs is located at 400 N. Aberdeen Street, in the Fulton Market District, Chicago’s fastest-growing neighborhood and one of the hottest tech markets in the country.

The 423,454-square-foot facility will span 16 floors, including 12 floors of advanced wet and dry lab space. The facility is designed to offer researchers the flexibility they need with features like column-free and long-span layouts and lab space that meets VC-A vibration criteria, which is important for researchers as they strive for reproducible results.

Is there any other US city with a neighborhood seeing a higher concentration of new, organic development than fulton market right now? Excluding Hudson Yards-like masterplans

Sterling Bay is gonna have a Virtual Lincoln Yards Informational fair on August 6 for Chicago area sub-contractors to talk about “upcoming projects, logistics, and bidding opportunities.”

The night vision shot on that camera of the Hancock is sweet. The stepped antenna structure from that angle makes it look massive in the distance

Eventually there will be a wall of highrises along Kinzie. 400 N Aberdeen is the first. What a unique view that will be from the inbound Kennedy. That view especially from the feeder ramp, sick. I will enjoy watching this one get built on my drives into the city.

Got an email from Alderman Reilly last night about a proposal by Vista Properties on 609 W Randolph. The site is currently a surface parking lot. He also told the developer they can't include parking.
