Imagine if Regina built a landmark tower, like something at 120m? Now, that would be a skyline worth raving about!
Maybe in a couple years... The tallest current proposals are for a 90 and 73. Would be nice to have a new peak above the plateau that is sort of developing.
Here's hoping! I also hope more mid-rise residential gets built in the Regina core too. The two going up right now are quite nice... and a definite sign that Regina is headed in the right direction. If Capital Pointe gets built, that will be really great. There are cities of 500 000 - 750 000 in Canada and cities of 1 million + in the states that don't have mixed-use developments that nice.

Kind of sad that Moose Jaw and Brandon both have downtowns and skylines twice the size of either of Thunder Bay's downtowns, and we have 4 times as many people as either one. Port Arthur has over 50,000 people and looks like a city of half the size.
A few old North Bay (pop. 53,000, CA 64,000) pics from my personal collection. There have been a few changes since these were taken, but nothing too drastic. The vacant land on the waterfront is now a large park.
