For those leaving from San Francisco, the temporary terminal will be at least partially fenced off — with signs posted — to let riders know their buses have moved. AC Transit will have ambassadors on duty to direct passengers.
That's too bad, hopefully something happens with it soon. The design that pseudolus posted was incredible

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere when the temporary terminal closed the first time (last summer) that it will be several years before the park or any of the projects planned for that block get built.

I'm in the Virginia/ DC area for a few weeks and I'm amazed at how pristine all the roads and freeways are... especially considering there is just as much traffic here and that there are actually seasons which are much worse for the wear... and their gas taxes are a fraction of California's.

Thie shot you reposted, of course, is looking across Van Ness where the BRT project is underway so certainly it's torn up.

Otherwise, the city, thanks to a series of bond issues, has been replacing all sorts of underground infrastructure for several years now. The alternative is to just live with 100+ year old pipes and such while they corrode away and the lead in them poisons us. They chose that route in Flint and Newark and quite possibly DC (where I grew up, incidentally).

I kind of laughed when I saw a news report about Newark where they were whining they needed federal aid to replace the lead pipes. I recalled that San Francisco has passed BILLIONs in bonds to pretty totally replace everything in the Hetch Hetchy water supply system. We did not ask the feds to pay for it (they wouldn't have if we had of course).

Yeah, we need to repave a lot of streets, but at least the stuff below them is being replaced as it needs to be and that isn't true a lot of places.

It looks like the still-shrouded 2000 Bryant is finally getting its brick/tile installed, on the SE side.

I'm excited to see how this (and hopefully this one) shapes this area of the Mission.

That's going to be a lot of brick to lick.

well noted, and I would also add anecdotally that I've noticed what seems to be an increase in surface repaving around the city the last 6-9 months or so.

a quick search did come up with this tho, too

1066 Market, skin almost done. this one seems to have gone quickly

I wasn't looking closely, but I didn't see any sign of 1028 Market St breaking ground when I walked by

950-974 Market hole

jumping around now... the alley from 2nd toward the SF Transit Terminal is getting trees

the mews between the new project at Laguna and Fell (on left) and the project that went up a few years ago

I forgot this one - this is progress on the little Guy Pl park on Rincon Hill

something may have delayed this - the linked article from 2 years ago says it would take about a year to construct

"While the building permit for that project was obtained in September 2017, it doesn’t work economically now and there is no timetable to start construction, Buckner said."

Great video! The Chase Center looks hella sick. I like how they kept it intimate with the seats as close to the court as possible. Concourses look wide and bright. Best arena in the NBA hands down!

Can't wait to see how the Olafur Eliasson art installation turns out as well.
