This is from Daily Hive, with photo credit to @saptarshi.photos from Instagram. Sorry for the quality, it was just a rip from their Insta. Metrotown is the main skyline, with a portion of Brentwood to the left.

It's easy, you can find the complete address by right clicking on the photo (copy image link), you just take that address and wrap it with - there is also a button for it in the post window.

Probably taken from Grouse Mountain. I think the thing to the left of the people is a snow making machine.

Centre-left you can see a tower with a luffing crane.
It is the development at Gilmore Station.
One of the towers there will be Metro Vancouver's next new tallest.

Wow, now that's one hell of a view! Metrotown is certainly a well developed skyline.

Great shots. Does Crystal Mall float though?

Give climate change another 100 years, and it might.

The photo is very nice.

Yes it's an impressive skyline, except Metrotown is a skyline in the middle of nowhere; given the geography of Metro Vancouver with its peninsulas, bays, inlets, beaches, islands, mountains, rivers - there is nothing special or exceptional about the location of Metrotown. Its location is totally the result of municipal political division.

That’s funny, I feel the complete opposite, Metrotown is perfectly perched on a notable ridge, feels like a very natural location for a skyline IMO.

Lougheed to me feels more like a randomly placed skyline. Though one can make such a case for any skyline not on a shoreline. For example downtown LA has the same sense of randomness.

PS, great pics!

Metrotown is almost literally the exact centre of Metro Vancouver. On a perch about 300m above sea level, with panoramic views all 360 degrees around it. It’s also along Kingsway, the “Main Street” corridor that connects New Westminster to Downtown Vancouver as well as the direct centre of the oldest and most heavily used sky train line, the Expo line. Not exactly random when you think of it.

The trend, unfortunately, continues to street level. Otherwise pleasant stretches of cobblestone or granite paved streetscape (Such as Mink Mile or the old red cobblestone streets of Forest Hill South, are dug up and filled in with ugly asphalt patches by Toronto Hydro.

Something about that new LRT bridge is off putting in this image, but it's probably due to the perspective of the image.

This photo was taken with a wide lense, and greatly flattens the image. In reality the Champlain bridge is a good 5-6 km away.
