Very Nice as usual! But Theres something I'm just not feeling, too Dense? I loved City City 1, particually due to the mid-sized city suburban feel. Some of these buildings are very skinny, would it be possible for these towers to even exist?

Can you give us an aerial to see the layout so far?

i can't get over how fantastically real those textures are! great brigdes as well. how about a really big bridge connecting the penninsula to a mainland? or is it an island? either way, a big bridge would be nice addition! keep it up

Patrick, I know what you mean and can sympathize. When I'm making the downtown areas, however, I'm not intending for them to necessarily be standalone ventures, but rather a future backdrop for the outlying neghbourhoods. I just started CCII at the Wedding District because it seemed like a reasonable focal point to begin with.
And yes, the building's can certainly exist, they're based upon the 'Wedding Cake' style of residential buildings in New York and are more accurate portrayals of what I had wanted them to be in the first incarnation of City City.

Peter-a bridge to the mainland won't happen anywhere near downtown; if you ask me a large bridge that close to there would be a distraction. Any bridge to the mainland will happen far to the south, but there will be two spans if I ever get that far:a freeway and railroad span each.

Very nice! I love the bridges. I agree with Patrick though, something is missing. Perhaps some parks or open space?

Edit: You've answered the question.

A preview of the Old City:

I'm still tinkering with Kerkythea, though, but for those who use it, what settings are you all using?

Woah! Sexy!

You seem to know a lot about Kerkatheya, is there ANY way to put a sky background instead of the default ones? Whenever I do it craps out the pic and stretches it way out.

I use Photon Map - High
