raw, dank stinky concrete. it's not the style that makes brutalism so hated.
it's the materials and how they are presented and how those materials weather..and how they smell...and absorb and retain stains...and how quickly they crumble.
and how so many cities and developers used the style to cut corners, save money and "throw up" raw concrete buildings and pass them off as legitimate architecture.
