NHL extends season so the Canucks can finish their season.
And the team got permission from the league to resume practice.

The only hope for the Canucks in the back half of the season was Montreal going into their most condensed part of their schedule, and Vancouver hitting the easier part of their schedule. Now the NHL has the Canucks playing 19 games in 31 nights, Plus coming off 2 weeks of Covid.

Weird year for the draft vas well. Not a strong draft year, and really hard to gage these guys, so there will likely be more than a few busts for teams drafting high.

"were" in a losing streak.

Always nice to see that we can still beat the Leafs, especially considering we will most likely be facing them in the playoffs. Important matchups against Calgary coming up.

The four leading goalies in all-time NHL wins are all from Quebec: Brodeur, Roy, Luongo, Fleury.

This is the first time since early 1930s that they've all been from a single province.

Number 5 is Ed Belfour I think.

The Canucks now have to play 19 games in 31 days!
That's even more brutal than the beginning of their schedule.

Damn.

We are also starting to hear of/see players speaking out against this return to play for the Canucks.

Will be interesting to see who wins: Rogers, who i'm assuming are pushing for the games to be completed, or the players, who i'm assuming are pushing for games to be cancelled. Expecting a team of COVID-recoverees to play 19 in 31 (or whatever the number will be with the cancelled games this week) is insane, just as much as it is to expect their AHL team to suit up instead to play 19 in 31. They're going to lose and not make the playoffs regardless.

Tomorrow’s game against the Oilers has been canceled. There goes McDavid’s 12 point night.

21 players, three coaches, and one member of staff tested positive. Darren Dreger tweeted earlier that 'some' are still sick and it's been reported previously that a few of them were symptomatic and in bed. Dreger reports that some may not finish season if Canucks do play games. Word on Twitter is that Hughes was on an IV and lost weight as a result. Patrick Johnston reported that a lot of the players had 'ugly symptoms'.

Jets beat Leafs 5-2 and now just 3 points back of Toronto for the North Division lead.

IMO th Canucks about just have their season over with. It's stupid to try and fit in that many games in such a short time. And for a team not even remotely making the playoffs.
It's also way to hard on the players. Injuries will start popping up.
And then other teams should have a say. My Jets being almost the top team sure don't want to risk a playoff run thanks to a few games with the Nucks and maybe get covid. There's just to much risk involved.

Huge regulation time win for the Habs last night. We didn't deserve it though. Hopefully we can make it 2 in a row today with a win against the Sens.
