Last I heard it went out for re-bid again, but didn't go anywhere as it was deemed "still over budget."

Round 4???

I heard it goes out for re-bid again! But maybe with a couple extra floors.

2-1/2 years later and I'll give the developer credit, they're still trying to get it built. But I know I'm getting tired of all this wasted effort...

Last I heard they're supposed to start drilling piers end of October/beginning of November this year.

Sounds like some progress!

That is some great progress. Is anyone able to see if any permits have been pulled on this one? Updated drawings?

biz journals had a quick hit article that stated a permit for $25 million had been pulled for this project. Sounds like kmack is right on track with that Oct/Nov timeline

From SABJ:

A $25 million permit for construction of a luxury apartment tower in downtown San Antonio led August's largest permits for work valued at $2 million or more, according to city of San Antonio records.

The Durango apartment project, which has been proposed since 2017, could finally move forward with the permit. The project by Laney Development at 215 E. Cevallos St. received final approval from the San Antonio Historic and Design Review Commission in summer 2018. The project was last recorded as a 13-story apartment tower estimated at $25 million, according to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
