The Woolworth Building in New York City under construction. This building, when opened in 1913, became the tallest building in the world and remained so until 40 Wall Street (also in New York City) opened in 1930

Well that settles that. I'm going to have to go to NYC next year to celebrate Woolworth's 100th anniversary.

Any recent news articles about condos????

Empire State Building - 40th floor.... where I work
Chrysler Building - 69th floor.... where my dentist is

But THIS tower is where I wanna own a Condo.... I know that part of downtown is relatively quiet (by Manhattan standards) late at night.... but I wouldn't mind that too much..... I could use more than 3 hours of sleep for a change

Anyone seen any RECENT articles about this puppy being converted into Condos??? I've been digging but haven't found anything.

Much appreciated godda run....

This masterpiece must be be converted to condos eventually, considering the huge amounts of modern office space being built right now in the downtown area.

IMO the woolworth and the chrysler building are the 2 greatest buildings ever made and probably forever will be. Its truly amazing/lucky that people had the dreams of building tall during the perfect time period where so much detail and heart is put into these buildings, that it seemed like it was there only option for design.
But technology came too fast and these skyscraper castles are long gone. The future seems as though its only going to get glassier, and throwing a rock would shatter the entire city in 2050, but atleast we got a great number of gems out of the gotham period. And change is a must.

I went to a dentist in the Chrysler many years ago for a TMJ problem. He was on one of the uppermost floors, near the spire. Stunning view! Can't for the life of me remember his name just now...
