Nice! The Grove (now called Evo) is under construction, 3601 Market will break ground this month or next, and this tower will be starting demo and site prep soon

Just waiting to hear about the tower at 38th and Chestnut to start site prep. The development manager for 3601 Market told me the 38th and Chestnut tower received funding... so only a matter of time

Four residential towers plus CHOP's new highrise and the possibility of Cira South Office tower and 34th and Market office tower. A LOT happening in UCITY right now.

Likely by the end of the year. If not, then early next year. It was "unofficially" announced a while back and was 17 floors and 282 feet. It will be taller now...Will be anywhere from 25-35 floors.

Awesome! Can't wait to see this rise. UCity is having so many towers go up at once it's gonna be great to see all those cranes in the air.

i take it from the previous posts that this is as deep as excavation is going?

no basement? we go right to drilling for the caissons?

if so, this one should get out of the ground fast.

This is about as deep as its going to go. There is a small basement for parking. But caissons should start being drilled soon and the building wills start coming out of the ground in January and will run through August 2015.

Yes. I believe there will only be one floor of underground parking which has already been dug out. Pile drivers are currently on site now drilling for caissons. Two are already in the ground if you look closely at my pics (second one down). There is one directly to the left of the rig and one in between the rig and the drill.
