Pictures don't do this building justice, it's enormous and only half way there. The cladding pieces they put up are so large in person.

From its conception, posts by contributors such as NYguy have allowed those of us from outside the city to appreciate this magnificent building as it has risen. Thank you for that. I practiced architecture for 20 years before shifting gears in careers. I understand scale. And I knew this building was massive. I mean it's got a footprint of roughly 200' x 500' feet! And we know the enormity of the spectacular table from which the tower rises. But only in NYguy's posts 3481 and 3485 did I finally grasp the absolute enormity of this project! Seeing the contractors beside the cladding is breathtaking. To all who've contributed to this and all the other sites in this forum, thank you! You excite and educate with each additional post.

Thanks. The scale of this tower can be deceptive, due to the relative low floor count. But the scale is more apperent when you see the construction workers assembling this massive beast.

That cladding is looking good!
If this tower could talk, I'm sure she would say "About d'mn time, I was getting tired of standing here naked!"

Thumbs up

Certainly getting vibes of the formerly named John Hancock Center (875 North Michigan Avenue) in Chicago...

Jamie Dimon, the original-gansta will have a new flagship tower to continue looting for JP Morgan

I've waited along time to see the facade of this building, with no mockup in sight. So I'm going overboard on looks!

The presence of the fins between the columns was not something I was expecting. I went back to check the renderings, and they're there, if you are looking for them.
This tower looks and will look great! And that's a good thing, because it's so massive. It's like the bigger, meatier cousin of 9 Dekalb, the Brooklyn Tower.

It's great to see the curtain wall finally being installed on this beast, in addition to new steel. I'm guessing it's over 750' now, probably approaching or taller than 383 Madison. Two more jumps until the second setback is reached. Let's go!

Those fins are really going to make a statement soring into the sky! They will always be catching the changing light and highlighting the façade. This simple addition will garner maximum effect for a really well articulated cladding. Very well done. Naked no more.
