great to see 7-11 adding stores downtown again. Where is that new one again between Main and Cambie on Broadway?

Yes, it is a drawback. No nachos either.

But the upside is you can get hot coffee in a can. Not to mention a wide array of beer, liquor, sake and salty snacks to accompany them.

The bottom line is that 7-11s in Japan are first-rate convenience stores, 7-11s in the US are much improved, so I'm hoping that trend comes to Canada.

Fatburger locating on "outdoor sports" row? That's a bit wierd, although guess you could work it off...

Didn't Crocs go bust earlier this year? I thought the store on Robson, which had been started a very long time ago, went on hold before the bankcruptcy announcement, so I assumed a new tenant would take over.

So you're saying they're back! AAAARGH! Call the Fashion Police!

re: 7-11 coffee in a can - my friend bought some hot coffee in a can in seattle or portland - i think it was wolfgang puck brand - you do something and open can and it gets hot - he said it was actually good

I only get my slurpees from 7-11. Macs just does not measure up. I've given them lots of chances but 7-11 just knows how to do it right!

If I WANT A SLURPEE, I WANT THE 26 CUPS OF SUGAR THAT GOES IN ONE!

I went to see the one in Calgary yesterday, it was MASSIVE! I didn't know a shop like that could be so big. Vancouver could use one, I suppose, out in the burbs.

Both the London Drugs and the Nesters in Woodwards look really close to opening. There's a new billboard on Abbott just off Pender (behind the car rental place) with the old Woodwards Food Floor logo and a Nesters Opening Soon.

Anyone have any idea how soon is soon? The London Drugs has looked ready to open for a month, but I still can't even see how someone could get to the entrance past all the construction.

i edited - i just looked it up on google - seems to be a skin care place - most of its locations are in high end dept stores like barneys, saks, bergdorf goodman and some hotels like w hotel etc - Canada seems to have the only flagship locations for north america - toronto and Vancouver with some of it sold at salons i guess

anyway looks good there

A lot of their creams are $200 and up! Women are crazy No wonder they can afford a big store.

As for JapaDog, I just checked their website. They say their "Dream come true" store on Robson St. will open in December.

Hopefully EARLY December!!
