While bland and not that interesting item 1 is mainly blah and the colour actually brightens it up a bit, but item 2 should die.
I am diappointed with the siding renovation on the side of item 1.

This place gets more soulsucking everyday. Going the way of Sears.
Your eyes burn at all the flourescents in this place
And don't forget the fine dining!
I have seen much much worse examples of all of those brands you pictured above. The only one I would go out of my way to call ugly would be the Micheal's. All of these things are what suburbanites love.
I believe he may be referring to the experiences with the store instead of the architecture and style. Or maybe both.
They all look fine to me except... ya, Michael's is mediocre.
As to the experiences from my own perspective, I love CT's sales and find the stores nice and organized and a good shopping experience. But I have had a couple run ins with incompetent managers there in Brampton and Bolton. And had some very good experiences with CS and other managers in other stores.
Didn't care for the old Bay but ever since they revamped I like their classier logo now and appreciate their sales and Bay Days.
The comment about the lights I can understand when it comes to Superstore. They just look too sterile and clinical for me. I rarely shop in there for that reason. I don't find it welcoming. It's clean and organized but not warm. This pic looks like it's the Oakville location but maybe there are exact replicas elsewhere.
The best for me is Fortinos and Longos. For discount stores I go Food Basics, No Frills then Freshco.
Don't like Whole Foods whatsoever. Only been to one Farm Boy and it's pretty decent. Don't really like Metro's decor or atmosphere for some reason. And it's not just because I worked there when I was 17 for a cunty manager.
The Milestones looks great to me. Never eaten there though.
Pretty sure the RCSS was Oakville. Across the street from that Bay is a Loblaws, which owns SS. I don't recall there being a RCSS in Markham. I know a couple of people that live around the corner from this area.
I was at Markville a year ago. Yeah that does look like the Bay there. Hadn't noticed though because I usually park by Pickle Barrel.
It reminds me of my teenage years. That Bay has got to be around 25 years old now. I was a barista at P.A.M's coffee and tea before the term even existed in Toronto. from 16-18 I was a mall rat at Markville. Hanging out after work at Mother's Pizza and as we turned 19 moving next door to Father's. Back when I used to have disposable income LOL.
