This is a great picture. There's more character and real-city feel in this one shot than most people believe exists in the entirety of Phoenix.

Great pics, guys. While I got to downtown PHX a couple times during my trip(a nightmarish family wedding) I didn't get to snap any photos and high-tailed it to Tucson for some days by the pool and monsoon nights with guacamole and margaritas. Next time I'll be out will be Christmas, would be cool to plan something around this time and get to meet everyone who keeps me informed about my homecity while I'm away.

Greetings from a rainy Berlin,
Jason

Either way, how did you get the information? What will the new crown look like and when is it expected to be in place?
I'm pretty sure this is the latest design. I don't know when they plan to add the final top section but my guess would be once they're done with the facade.

I snapped a couple shots while I was there as well. Sorry, my camera never seems to take clear pics.

That may be true, but hopefully the colors are like the other designs... from what looks like is already painted, I don't think the rendering colors above are what is being implemented.

I don't know, the current color of the lower garage section looks pretty close to that rendering.

I don't think that rendering is still accurate. If I remember my chronology correctly, the original design had a crown, then the developer talked about removing the crown, and the above rendering was released. Since then, they again have been talking about adding the crown.

guys, the above rendering (the more brownish one) was the original release. they then added the crown and "silverized" the second design.

I think that white warehouse in the shot by vertex up front of the picture looks ripe for a nice modern slender tower of grand stature.

Vertex - that is a great shot - my favorite, too! love all the old bldgs. i'm glad you did in fact go up to that garage roof after our meet.
Great meeting you all at Cooperstown. thanks for all of your cool photos. and thanks Gump for arranging, even
though i missed the Summit portion and didn't get to meet you.

Maybe next to it on the empty lot. That building looks ripe for some rehab/renovation. Maybe some nice two-story lofts. I'd like to live in one and look out over either the city or out on a new tower or at the US Airways Center from second story window.
