Awesome Video of Canada's Reaction to the Gold Medal Hockey Game!

Alright guys, its time to relive the Olympics. I found this incredible video on youtube by JLishere.

Could somebody make it so that you can watch the video off of this post? I can't ever figure it out. Thanks

Wouldn't it be great, to wipe your memory of all the Olympic Coverage, and to relive it all over again with all the excitement, victory, and disappointments. Every moment was great, I will never be able to feel the pride and joy I did during the olympics... ;_;

That was epic. So many good memories from those two weeks, only went downtown once (and that was during the first week) but man, just the non-stop coverage, and all of a sudden, we win, and it's over. that honestly was difficult to get used to.

Thanks for sharing. GO CANADA GO!

this nation is great but it needs to build more missiles, nukes, arms, and carriers, to stand on guard...at least to boost up its global image.

anyone who disagrees must be lying to himself..

Stronger military, yes. Nukes, no.

Hopefully the Vancouver 2010 Games were a catalyst to permanently ending this sense of civic and national passivity we once had.

As for memories, don't forget about "I believe in the power that comes from a world brought together as one...I believe together we'll fly, I believe in the power of you and I".

Afterall, it was only played 10 times every hour for 17-days over a half-dozen consortium channels.

I don't think I will ever be mistaken for the most chauvinistic canuck around but even I got an emotional stir out of that video.

Sigh. Looking at those videos again, it still hasn't really sunk in that I was *there*. I wonder if it ever will.

Maybe if we don't win another Gold for 50 years lol - I can be like the 90 year old Leafs fans who say to my grandkids, "Ya know..."

My blurry shot right after, hard to jump up and down and take a picture lol

One of my favourite moments in recent memory, the bar I was at was damn near deafening when Iggy gave it to Crosby who buried it. That goal was probably even more exciting than the '87 Gretzky to Lemieux goal, possibly more that Henderson's goal, mostly because it was overtime.

I do hope we'll all be able to witness another Olympics in Canada within our lifetimes. That is, a Summer Olympics.

In Vancouver. :p

That's right, screw Toronto's ambitions of being a summer host and Quebec City's winter dreams. (which would make it the second time we've stolen the Olympic host title from both cities) Vancouver ought to be competitive not only globally but also nationally.

Anyhow, the first ever Youth Summer Olympics is starting up in Singapore in a few weeks...that is all, no comment.

Credit for our Olympic experience also needs to go to CTV. I had huge doubts about their capability at first, but wow....the quality and quantity of it all. And the way they marketed the Games helped stir up all the patriotism and civic boosterism we saw.

There was no way CBC could have done anything remotely like what CTV did.
