I see 2 cement mixers on site. Does this mean they are pouring footings for a crane?

I wouldn't think a crane would go up this soon. They haven't even begun to sink in structural supports yet.

Stopped to check out the construction. Structural column support rebar is onsite and a couple of circular holes are dug into the ground. Looks like this puppy is getting ready to go upwards!

Yeah the stream appears to have one of those pile-driver machines. Im surprised a 30 story tower doesn't have some amount of basement but whatever !

I'm very happy they are filling up the skyline. The pressure is on to get this completed and leased so they can get it sold quickly.

The speed of this project really is crazy hopefully we see all three phases of this go up!

We actually have 3 high-rises and a the equivalent of a midrise office all under construction, right now. When did we last have 3.5 legit skyline impacting buildings under construction simultaneously? 2007?

Hopefully we see the other proposals get going soon and im excited to see what the RFP's for Central station and Central/Adams produce.

Well, I think it's been roughly around a year when I called it that high-rises would be the next big thing when we had that slew of 5 story developments.

I am predicting no less than 9 or 10 new towers to be completed by 2020'ish.

In Construction:
1. Stewart
2. and 3. Link (I think at least phases 1 and 2 if the market holds for a couple more years. Not so about the third tower. But then again, no one expected the first tower to be a reality)
4. Fry's Residences

Upcoming and most likely to be built:
5. Central Park East Residences
6. Barrister
7. AZ Center Hotel
8. AZ Center Residences
9. Derby (I still think this will eventually be a go)
10. Colliers 2 or whatever they plan on calling it

Potentials:
11. Banner University Tower 2
12. Ro2 or Creative House
13. Link Phase 3
14. Central Station (I think we will see new proposals on this soon)

...and of course, the rumors:
15. Lot next to Spaghetti Factory
16. VIAD Phase 2

I think I am forgetting 1 or 2, but I can't keep track. I should probably make a spreadsheet of all this freaking construction!

LOTS of equipment and work going on today! This is moving fast. I bet we see a crane within a month or less.

Just checked out the construction. It's 5:00 and there are no less than 6 concrete mixers in line waiting to pour the footings. This is going to go up quick!

Was trying to get an answer from the crew when to expect a crane, but it was too noisy and they couldn't hear me

I didn't have to yell this time. Lol.

Rebar and concrete supports already going into ground and going vertical...AND tower crane going up in about 2 weeks!

This is going amazingly fast!

I have seen that done at other sites. It may be an insurance thing.
