Very nice! Trump's always been a personal favorite of mine from the most-recent boom.

Replacing Berrios. Trump casino? And a Rosemont gift
Posted by Greg H. at 12/10/2010 12:49 PM CST

...Mr. Roper awhile ago mentioned another possible location to me that I thought made more sense: the lower-level, still-totally-vacant retail floors in Trump Tower on the Chicago River between Michigan and Wabash avenues.

The building is central but not as congested as Block 37. The floor plates are large. The location is close to Lower Wacker and Michigan, so it could be used for bus drop-offs, and it's near a bunch of tourist hotels — one of them right upstairs.

The Donald and I haven't discussed the idea. But I understand he knows something about running casinos, and surely he doesn't like all of that empty space he has. The tower may be a bit upscale for some, but that's what a Chicago facility ought to be.

I care little for Tump, personally but I have stayed at this hotel a few times and used the spa, but if I am right I believe only around 65% of the total units, hotel condos, and residential condos have been sold by now. [ I have also noted that the southern and eastern residences have sold well but the northern and western units are harder to sell at this point. I am pretty sure he is taking this one in the butt for awhile now. I know someday this will be 100% filled but it is not at this juncture. Anyway nice building and nice vantage point for this picture.

I am curious, has any retail tenants moved into the base yet? Has there been any talk or interest from ANYONE? I hate seeing that prime space sit vacant!

There is rumor of a downtown casino in that space. But, of course, it is just a rumor. It wouldn't make sense to me because typically casinos prefer large, interior spaces WITHOUT windows!

Hard to find a place to place this but here it is.

Trump is trying to dump his 15K sq foot penthouse in his own building. Some of these photos are interesting in the least.

This one makes the even the grand John H look small in a weird way.

A sneak peek at the Trump Tower penthouse

One benefit living above the cloud ceiling is that in the winter one can improve their SADD. Seasonal Af.. Disorder.. I would hope at least...

Last week, we had the pleasure of touring (read: getting lost in) the penthouse atop Chicago's Trump Tower. Originally, Donald Trump had planned to keep the 14,260-square-foot unit to himself, but when the market went south he decided to put it on the market, and there it has sat since the tower was completed in 2009. When Tribune architecture critic Blair Kamin toured the unit a couple of years ago, he suggested that an NBA seven-footer with buckets of money snap up the place. Indeed, with 16-foot ceilings, you could easily convert one of the living rooms to half-court and shoot hoops in there. The unit is unfinished, and the only thing in there, aside from windows and drywall, is a workman's sink, which had to be installed in order to get a certificate of occupancy. Without any furniture or even doors, it feels like a maze in the 7BD, 6BA unit. Like the rest of Trump Tower, the penthouse is all about the view,
