Antwerp - november 11th 2006 - part 2

Here’s a second series of Antwerp pictures: a number of Boerentoren-shots.

I didn't know they had Art Deco in Europe. I thought that was mostly an American thing.

As far as I understand, Art Deco was invented in Europe. France to be precise around the turn of the 20th century. It was at the Paris expo of 1925 where the term Art Deco was coined.

Although it can probably be seen better in the US, as there are many new districts that were created predominantly in Art Deco style, where as in Europe it was more seen in specific buildings surrounded by other styles.
