Here are some views of the podium under the tower. It's huge. The roofline that goes along the Howe Street ramp seems to go on forever, broken up by a couple of cutaways and rising to nine floors at the south end.

The continuity will also be broken up because the southern block will have the silver aluminum panel grid from the tower.

Not sure how they are going to reconcile the angled roofline with the grid, though.

... a bit awkwardly - the alcoves just run upwards.

Does that actually count as a podium? I get what they were going for, but I'd think that for it to be considered a podium, it'd have to be.. y'know, the bottom of the structure?

Here's a look at the building on the triangle shaped site between the Howe Street ramp and the Granville Bridge. I was first on the ramp and then doubled back on the bridge.

Yeah, don't know if it's connected above-grade.
It's like a courtyard scheme, more than a podium.
