A solid looking historic city. Love the new modern additions too.

London gets almost all the international focus that England is granted just like Paris is pretty much everything from France that a random person in the world would think about. I think the thread tends to prove the place seriously underrated. I actually wouldn't mind visiting, now.

However, the looks of the place may be widely ignored, its name is nevertheless a real global fame thanks to a certain local soccer club... And I'm not thinking of Man City here.

I like how you collaged the pics together like that. I have to learn how to do that...

Manchester looks really nice (which isn't much of a surprise for a european city). These were a couple of my favorite street shots:

as a person with a (somewhat old-school) english family, i still find it somewhat surprising to hear british cities described as "european." i mean, they are, but the people that live in them still talk about "going to europe" etc. in the way an american might, and people of my father's generation instinctively think of europe as another thing, and as britain as a self-contained entity of its own. times are a' changing, though. great photos.

Great to see Manchester.
I think this was my favorite:

I like all the rail shots too.

As an aside, I'm looking forward to Cardiff's promotion to the Premier league.

Thanks for sharing the pics.
