The Mansion nightclub exterior is used as the home building in the TV show "The Umbrella Academy" that is filmed in Hamilton. They also use the Royal Connaught, Gore park, Ottawa street, and other locations too.
On topic... This building is way way too short for this location. The previous building was also too short, but the one before that (which stood for many years) was at least twice as tall as this "little cutie".

The sad part is the umbrella academy makes this building look way more prestigious than it does now - with those iron gates, nice sconces and beautiful doors - it's a nod as to what this building COULD look like vs what it does.

also seeing all of downtown hamilton destroyed in that series was definitely interesting.

I am really loving the bannister and thoes sconces - maybe this building should get the ACTUAL umbrella academy treatment.
