yeah, chicago easily has the 2nd largest collection of art deco towers on the planet (NYC is obviously #1 by leaps and bounds).
but the biggest difference is that none of them were anywhere close to as tall as NYC's deco biggies (ESB, Chysler, 70 pine, etc.), so chicago's art deco towers are now considerably more lost in the forest that was subsequently built up around them.
consider this:
of chicago's 50 tallest buildings (including U/C),
zero of them were built prior to 1940 (hell, nothing in the top 50 even predates 1965 anymore).
of NYC's 50 tallest buildings (including U/C),
six of them were built prior to 1940.
