More Delays

Element opening is now pushed to April 2021 with the W delayed until May 2021. Maybe as a result of the structural issues someone posted about that are now in litigation?

At this point, if they fully re-open the sidewalks, I couldn't care less what's happening on the floors above.

This hotel was originally planned to open late 2018 I believe? So we are all very drunk.

Comcast 2 was originally projected to finish in 2017, it was "finished" two years later. However the south terrace along with the interior of the 45th floor is actually still under construction

not red tape. i can't recall which article, but the lawsuit made allegations the concrete floors poured on each floor was not leveled. when they tried to installed the glass curtain windows, they wouldn't line up with the floors. so I imagine all these adjustments took time and money. there were other construction issues as well. seems like the project was riddle with many problems, some unforeseen but many could of been prevented if better workmanship and/or planning and quality control was in place and checked during the construction process.

I was bored and looked back through these pages. Back on page 65 - December 11, 2015, summers made the “caissons” announcement moving this thread to officially under construction. But remember, the project won approvals on September 15, 2012 with plans to begin construction in the Spring of 2013. The original completion date was set for January 2015.

This project is over 6 years late!

Not even the oldest active thread right now. The Laurel thread is old enough to be graduating middle school this year.

They're not fully reopened but they're open enough that I don't care how long they take to finish the building now.

Sidewalks, what are these sidewalks you talk about? They sound like some modern new space age idea. I wonder if they'll catch on and everybody start to want one.
