This is one of those big bang for the buck projects. It replaced an empty lot and it improves/completes 3 streetscapes despite being a small building. The lane is effectively a completely new outdoor space. While it's not perfect there's a lot packed into that brewery block.

It feels like a good scale for the area. Short enough to respect the scale of Government House across the street, but large enough to feel grand. Bishop Street has the feel of a small canyon now, which is quite a difference from 5 years ago (pre Flynn Flats and the Alexander). I have high hopes for the finishing on this one, Killam has done a great job with the Alexander at street level as well as the lane/courtyard (stairs from Hollis, pavers, and landscaping are all very well-done).
