yes, possibly in collaboration with Jordan Bennett. There is an article that mentions the piece in Canadian Art (just over halfway down): https://canadianart.ca/features/our-...ive-within-us/

Maybe it's my churchyphobia talking, but I still can't believe there was enough room next to this church to fit an apartment block. Those church doors always felt like they were inches from the sidewalk!

It's going beside the church, to the west in the grassed area. The doors along Broadway are fairly close tot he sidewalk yes.

I know, I lived across the street years back. They used to do yard sales and small outdoor event things on their front Colony lawn. But to put a whole building there? wow.

Gives you a good idea as to how inefficiently we tend to use space in general.

This portion was also demolished to make way for the new build.

Oh!!! Duh, those are the doors I had in foggy mind when they seemed so close to the sidewalk. Thought I was going crazy, I just forgot about this whole other structure. But like I turn my eyes away from JW's in the skywalk, I too did not observe this churchy property when I lived basically right across the street.

Nothing found yet. They would love a coffee shop. The space is awesome and would be a great coffee shop on the church side. The windows are huge. If you know anyone who wants it let me know! It’s a great location. Two major transit stops. Across from great west life. Lots of pedestrian traffic in both directions. A dedicated patio will be built in the courtyard at the sidewalk.
