I thought I would announce this now, even though it is quiet a ways a way. Next summer (July) I am planning a get together for all regular SSP Halifax contributors. It will be held at the Henry House, on the patio, on a nice summer afternoon/evening. Everyone who shares there thoughts and knowledge on this thread will be invited. Everyone who attendes, is welcome to a free meal (anything on the menu) and up to 3 free drinks ( including all alcohol...except single malt scotch) if it is a success, which I hope it is, I would like to make it an annual get together... it will be super casual...just a gathering of people with similar visions for Halifax enjoying some food and drinks... so what do you guys think?....I am really enthusiastic about putting this together...so I welcome any and all input from all y'all.

Sounds good to me

Of course I'm underage so the free beverages won't apply to me

Sounds very nice

I may be in Montreal from July 6 to August 7, but if not, count me in!

Ditto for any meets that may occur between now and then

Update: I will not be in Montreal, so I can attend!

Well then. I'll graciously remove my foot from my mouth, and replace it with a delicious meal!

Just thought I'd throw this out here;

As a follow up to my photo threads back in March I'm hoping that on Victoria Day (weather permitting) I can get back in town to get another set of photos this time focusing on Peninsular Halifax and the construction because the last time I was through downtown/west/south it was raining so some of my photos didn't turn out well.

I'm open to having some fellow forumers come for the walk and if you're interested just say so and all we'll have to do is pick a time and a location. I'm going to try to get a map of the path made up soon.

I think the best way to learn about the city and the developments is to take a walk and get to know the feel of the area.

If it turns out to rain hard or something else comes up I'll have to postpone the tour to the middle of June when my exams are over.

If I'm not working, I'll be down to come... it will be a good chance to get the development group together. I live on the 10th floor of a tower downtown now! Watching the Trillium work every day!

Lucky I get to see trees grow.

Anyways I was looking at the list and I missed a couple of developments in March so I defenitely want to get some photos of them;

Spice, Theatre Lofts and anything else in the general area (minus Armoury Villa).

My preliminary map is to hit 5552 Kaye then bus down to where-ever we might meet then hopefully up to North Downtown for the ones I missed then through downtown and possibly (depending on time/weather etc) up to the Trillium or Dal.

There's a slim chance that I'd be in town for Victoria Day. I'll probably be back in Halifax for a week or so around late May/early June.

So is anybody available this monday for the walk?

It doesn't look like its going to rain to hard so I'll defenitely be out unless that changes.

If nobody's avilable I'm open to postponing it to around June 22nd.
