Someone should explain to Tyler that tax revenues from rich people can be used to promote affordable housing elsewhere. This is not a zero-sum game.

From the corner of N Orange and W 6th today - looks like the basement is now covered by its ceiling, and another floor is taking shape to the right of the crane

I'm sorry, but someone has to say this. It is disgraceful they are naming a project after a comedian who sexually abused a number of women. And why? Because he's African American? Crosby wasn't even from Wilmington.

" BTW.... For clarification, the disgraced comedian's last name is ' Cosby ' not ' Crosby ' as in the legendary crooner. "

The floor that'll be approximately at-grade with the highest corner of the property (N Shipley and W 6th) is pretty far along now

From partway down W 5th:

Yeah for sure! The core for the mid-rise piece looked to be topped-out too

There is so much potential in Wilmington. Looked like the bldg at 6 E 8th St is being renovated (facade and windows)... and 519 N Market had a massive crane working on it last wkd. Lots going on

Another month and this one should start to really make its mark on the skyline:

From Saturday:

Hotel/rooftop bar/restaurant project (tower rising behind it):

This will be relative to the current crane, 1-2 floors above it right? the crane looks about 100ft up.

I think it will be right around the current crane height. For comparison, the Renaissance Centre which is the rectangular brick building right behind the crane tower is 8 floors tall (and this building is 12 floors, 140').

I wonder how the skyline will look when we get some 500-600 footers in there, since most of the buildings are relatively short some tall ones would really stand out.

Some days you can see the Wilmington Skyline from Kirkwood HWY & New Castle so if we have some tall enough buildings we will be able to see the city from Newark, DE.

This project is actually named after the famous rock band from Wilmington: Crosby Hill and Nash

You're thinking of Cosby, not Crosby.

You’ve never heard of Will Crosby? Famous alumni of Church University?

Great band but I thought they really did their best work when they were collaborating with that analytical psychologist under the name Crosby Hill Nash & Jung.
