Hi all, just thought I'd post some pics that I took yesterday from Grouse Mountain, about 20 minutes north of downtown Vancouver. I hiked up it with a buddy on the main hiking trail there called the "Grouse Grind". It is quite popular locally. It takes about 1-1.5 hours for the average person to climb. The record for the trail is something like 25 minutes by a New Zealand mountain runner. It took my buddy and me an hour and 15 minutes.
I'm sure my buddy won't mind me posting his pic (I don't really have any of the trail that he's not in)
There is no road to the top, only this gondola
The view from the top
There are a lot, and I mean a lot, of wood carvings/statues up there. I don't quite understand the significance of this one.
Wildlife!
Lumberjack show
Grizzlies
Taking the gondola down
The end.

^Yea I was looking for it in the earlier photo from on top of the mountain. You can see the Shaw real good from up there. Is that a new tower to the left of it? The Vancounver scenic area and city are incredible.
Nice shots! I've only been up there once (gondola both ways) but I'd like to do the Grind one day.
That lumberjack show looks identical to the one I saw when I was up there last year!
