The owners of Downsview Mall are proposing to change some of the uses permitted on site to allow for two commercial pads (likely drive-thrus) and a 90-room hotel.

The old Staples and former sections of the main mall are all knocked down and cleared, though I don't know if they are going to build right away.

Wowzers! Those are some pretty basic metal boxes. Nice of 'em to spring for TWO colours of metal. And the roof line! Stunting!!

Construction permit has been issued for 79 units (6 stories) at 60 Arkle Lane, Lower Sackville. The lot is behind Downsview Mall but is accessed off of Old Sackville Road.

Construction permit issued for a commercial building at 332 Sackville Drive. It has auto dealership listed as the alternate use. This is the vacant lot next to Nothin' Fancy.

Construction permit issued for 49 units (4 stories) at 7 Pinehill Drive, Lower Sackville.

Worth noting, perhaps, that Arkle Lane is new creation. This is the lot that scraped some off a neighbouring lot to have enough room for 3 buildings. It was one of the original entrances for the Sackville Downs off the Old road.

Should have just replied in one go...

332 Sackville Drive is directly across from 3 big lots formerly original woodland/old greenhouse agri combo that is being developed. That immediate area is going to be unrecognizable with both sides getting work in.

The Pinehill one is interesting to me as it was (another original) a home part way up a side street from Sackville Drive, and may signal a shift from only development on the main drag to other areas.

Construction permit issued for a vacant lot at roughly 321 Sackville Drive for a 54-unit / 5-storey residential building. They appear to have subdivided the original large commercial parcel into three equal size parcels. All of the details point to this being a three building project on a common driveway.

According to sources the south corner of Sackville Drive & Beaverbank Connector will be developed shortly. The first phase will be a commercial plaza with a Starbucks drive-thru. A future phase pending LUB amendments will be a residential building.

The former Green Gables at 216 Cobequid Road (at Glendale) has been demolished to make way for a 4-storey multi-unit.

This is now called The Baxter Suites. For location reference I took the photo below in Nothin' Fancy parking lot.

This building “The LIAM” is different from the building permit (Case #19041) issued by HRM.

New proposal for 1592 Sackville Drive, Middle Sackville for a 100 UNIT, 20 M, 6 FL apartment building. This site is between the Margeson roundabout and Atlantic Gardens. The 152 parking spots will be accessed from Sackville Drive (surface lot) and Regkay Court (underground).
