Macau, a little piece of Europe in China

I only spent a night there (arrived in the evening and left in the morning...). I should have spent more time in there... it felt like a dream with all those casinos, highrise hotels and old European architecture. You get that feeling when you dream and see things which are "not supposed" to be there. An extremely interesting place where I sure will come back

Macau is one of very few places where I could actually afford a high class hotel... hotels seem incredibly cheap there

Sorry for so few pics... this is due to the lack of time and rain which made it impossible to photograph after I took these few photos. I actually spent the evening browsing internet in the hotel and watching TV... what a pleasure

Macau is quite a place to visit--a city of amazing contradictions. I usually avoid the casinos completely. I'll just take in their architectural design from the outside.

Great pics, especially the night shots! Macau is also on my "Must Visit"-list.

Excellent pictures. I must visit Macau again. All of my pictures are pre-digital and tucked away in a box somewhere.

Nice! But except for some buildings, I don't think Macau looks European at all.
