Very nice shots, not only of north Cap hill, but of Cheeseman Park and Cherry Creek off in the distance.

great shots escodu. I am wondering is there any denver construction thread discussing small projects? I check the general development and didn't find any. I wanted to post and discuss the projects that I found on this site.

http://denverinfill.com/neighborhood_pages/uptown.htm

It is a great site, showing all the infill projects of Denver. I found it last week when I found out the crappy ghetto apartment I lived in on Clarkson was torn down for one of these infill projects called the fluent. There are great infill projects going up in uptown. It is a shame that they tore a lot of uptown down in the 70s and 80s for parking lots. But these infill projects and this internet site is very neat.

Unfortunately, it won't show up from this angle.

Regarding 1900 16th St.:
I'll do this one last. It's going to be a lot bigger than the rest of the buildings from this perspective, and I also don't have a clue what it's going to look like from this angle. Of course, I can make an educated guess.

Regarding doing a far away rendering:
If you have a "before" photo that I can use, I can give it a shot. These are just stand in drawings, and I hope to replace them with actual 3D models at some point. That way I can do a render using almost any angle.

Regarding 1800 Larimer:
The reason that you're not seeing 1800 Larimer is because you're still seeing the old picture stored in your cache. When you refresh the web page it should update... or here it is again just to make things easier...

Woot! Thanks The Dirt...
Take a look at the first post on this thread! It's a NEW UPDATE!!

I Looooove the Two Tabor Tower super-imposed in this photo. It takes center stage as a 'new tallest' from this angle!

Too bad you can't see OLP from here. Another nice edition to the skyline.

Well, it could be a nice new edition to Denver's skyline, if your thinking about it -- metaphorically -- as a book!

It's great how they've angled the top. Amazing how that touch can make such a big difference, I love it!

The Cash Register has always had one of my favorite tops. Imagine if they had not added that feature.

So i was just looking at the future skyline rendering and noticed the tetris building is not correctly placed. Its where 1900 16th should go...tetris should be way further back, behind the union station redev. grounds...even further than that actually

FLeury is right it is too close to us in that picture it should be farther away (east) thus making it smaller from that angle

1800 Larimer....

This is a very thick, bulky building at 540,000 sq ft at 22 stories tall. If you will look closely, you will see it is behind one of the smaller apartment buildings in that area of Downtown. 1900 16th would be immediately in front of the brownish/red building, right next to the white Gates building. I believe The Dirt has portrayed it reasonably.

1900 16th street would actually be very up close at this angle, and would cover up a good chunk of what we see in the rendering.

...and here's why I put 1800 Larimer where I put it:

You can see the red building behind 1800 Larimer here:

Now you can't:

Just to put my 2 cents in. I think it is placed correctly, but I think it is shown as being too thick.

Look at this view from a different angle: http://www.denver-cityscape.com/archive.html. Scroll down to 10/11/07. The tower only covers a little over half the block.

I've never seen this rendering before. Thanks! Here are the fixed renderings (you will need to refresh your browser):

You're thinking of the white Embassy Suites building. It is about 45 feet taller than 1800 Larimer. I may still need to make 1800 a bit taller. I'll stare at it some more.
