I can't really tell from the rendering if they plan hand-laid brick, or even if they plan brick, all the way up, on all the walls. Landmarks apparently hasn't yet even had a discussion with the developer.

I fear the large number of studio units will be what concerns the neighbors most, and I think the Transportation Building Condo Assn will have to consent to the amendment of their PD to allow this—indeed to allow anything on this parcel. As I read PD 206, only 104 du's are unused, and almost no FAR is unused.

^ It's a good point that Landmarks will have to weigh in; I forgot about that.

I'm still disappointed in the limited height of the two new buildings at Polk, but they do have nice brick facades that fit the district.

Floors 1-3 appear to be red brick. I wish the entire building was red brick with dark grey/beige brick accents instead of three colors, but that is not going to happen.

Yeah, the rendering isn't stellar. Kinda reminds me of the crappy early images Fitzgerald released of the Westerly, North + Vine, etc. Maybe they'll end up surprising us?

Wow, that last shot is amazing. And loving how 800 W. Fulton is turning out. I still prefer the brown brick in the renderings, but the red brick doesn't look half bad either.

^Nice find - I actually prefer the design to the original, just wish it was as tall.
