King Edward tower. We don't know much about this one, but new renderings were 'discovered' only yesterday.

Liverpool One is Centered around the Paradise Street area of the city, stretching from the Albert Dock, up to the main shopping area around central station.

The redshite have planning approval for a 60,000 seat stadium on Stanley Park. God knows when they'll start on site.

Everton are also in discussion about moving ground within the city boundary, but plans are yet to be released.

Aintree Racecourse is getting a facelift after this years Grand National too.

Plus loads of smaller developments I forgot about before, such as the city centre canal link.

Thee's loads of apatments, shops and offices U/C as well. Here's a few.

City Square office complex

Met Quarter designer shopping centre

New museum of Liverpool

Princes Dock

WOW, that's a ton of new projects. Looks like they're remaking the city. What's the current population? Is it increasing? Thanks for the info and pics.

The city region has a population of around 2.1m, urban area (including Wirral) around 1.2m, although the city boundary covers an area of only 450,000. The 'city' population has halved in the last 60 years due to slum clearances, with people moving to the suburbs and satellite towns outside of the council administrative boundary, and economic decline- with people moving all over the country, and indeed the world to find employment. It has, in the last couple of years shown an increase, which looks likely to continue.

That's New World Square, a five block, mixed use scheme currently awaiting approval from the planning dept.

Maybe you're getting confused with this, the 'Fourth Grace' project, which went down the shitter:

The new Museum of Liverpool is designed to replace the museum space lost when the Fourth Grace scheme was finally pulled.

I would like to obtain some information -on paper- about the development from Liverpool/Merseyside towards the future in terms of:

- new housing and neighbourhood renovation plans
- harbour facilities , new docklands ,
- rail improvement/new lines , high speed connections
- green areas
- new roads/thoroughfares
- tramways (actual lines & extensions) , metrolines , public transportation
- airport facilities & extensions
- industrial zoning
- cultural buildings

This should be published -I guess- in something called a masterplan or infrastructural plan for the city/region(especially the area from Southport to Warrington & the Wirral peninsula).

Could somebody help me to give me information about this or where can I write to or who should I contact please?

Thank you very much in advance.
