Wow great pic!
Long time no see Mercutio!

I was talking with my cousin just yesterday about visiting them in Ipswich, which naturally would include some time in London as well in spring.

^ Hopefully we'll meet up this time - instead of missing each other despite you staying on the street where I live!

This is the only place I will be from now on. Gothicform has permanently banned me from SSC - my punishment for beating him in an argument. Of course he hasn't the courage to admit openly that he has banned me (it's unjustifiable) so he's simply blocked my access to the site. How typical of everything we have come to expect from them....

I've seen many panoramas so far but this ....

It boggles my mind how posting such a panorama on something called the "internet" wouldn't have been possible twenty or more years ago.

Now, what with my 22 inch wide-screen LCD monitor, I feel as if i'm there.

^ Yup - this picture is the next best thing to being there.

I'm sure that we will get similar high quality panoramas from other famous viewpoints in the next year or two. All you need is a talented photographer with the software to stitch the images together and the public spirit to offer the image free to Wikipedia. I would like to see images of the same quality from the Empire State Building, GE Building, Eiffel Tower, St Peter's Basilica, Hong Kong's Peak or Tsim-Sha-Tsui, Shanghai's Bund, Tokyo's Roppongi Hills Tower, Rio's Corcovado, Sugarloaf Mountain, Cape Town's Table Mountain etc etc.
