The Site plan application is in process with the city. I'm guessing that construction will begin shortly after CHCH moves.

When is CHCH scheduled to move? Haven't heard much about this Television City development in ages, really hoping it's still moving. Can anyone link to the site application with the city?

Big surprise, Brad Lamb is a piece of shit. I called that one years ago while everyone else on here was busy propping him up on a pedestal.

Correct matt602 (loved your YT Faded Hamilton video on old streetcars!), he's a sack of shit. I mentioned in another thread how not to expect some sort of landmark building and a user was quick to point out how great his builds' were. If anyone's ever dealt with him or knows his tactics, not exactly a winner at life. On top of that his buildings aren't exceptional. Mediocre at best.

He's widely considered the largest d-bag in the Toronto development industry.. and let me tell you, that's an achievement given his competition. He's basically burned every single bridge that could be burned with the city and has to get all his developments approved through the LPAT since he's such a dick about every one.

I believe you're referring to me. I disagree. Like or dislike the man, his building are far from ugly. They're of decent quality, much better than anything currently built in Hamilton. So i'll be happy to see this one go up.

He definitely sounds like a piece of shit, feel bad for those tenants that are now homeless! The city of Toronto though needs to bear some responsibility, how on earth did these "illegal apartments" above an auto shop slip past city inspectors?

This doesn't change the fact that I'm still looking forward to Television City though, they will be a beautiful addition to the city.

Project cancelled?

I saw someone ask this in Hamilton Reddit?

I noticed yesterday that all the signs are gone from around the old CHCH building. I looked at Brad Lamb's website (https://lambdevcorp.com) and there's no reference to it there anymore (you can find a page for it there using Google, but it's no longer linked to the site). Finally, I checked the Television City sales website (http://televisioncity.ca/), and it has been reduced to an "Under Maintenance" placeholder page. Is the project dead?

Does anyone know what's going on with this? Is Lamb going to cancel and resell the project after seeing what prices KIWI and 1 Jarvis sold for? I wouldn't put it past him.

Lamb seems to do that with most of his projects these days, so it won’t surprise me. I don’t know why anyone buys from him on his first launch of a project any more, he always launches years before getting zoning approvals and by the time he gets them (since he always goes to the LPAT which takes forever), the financials don’t work anymore and he has to reset. It makes no sense.

Haha thanks but that was a different Matt (Grande), I loved that video too though.

Cancelled

Unfortunately, it looks like it is. Even though they got approval in February last year, apparently the lawyers were giving back deposits in August saying that they couldn't meet the critical dates.

Crud. I kind of wonder if the city would have approved it with the initial heights if it would be built (or at least well on its way) by now. Certainly there's no guarantee it would have.
