It is a shame that they have all but left SSP. I really enjoyed the regular updates back in the day.

Hey I'm still posting Victoria photos and stuff! usually on the Canada section. The Crystal View proposal has changed again to a single tower scheme at 17 stories.

I have a few photo's to post soon too.

I'm getting this deja-vu feeling......all over again.

Twin towers have failed before at that spot so I expect these ones to get built about the same time I sprout wings and fly.

Let us not forget the prevailing retarded zeitgeist in greater Victoria about tall buildings. I'm still surprised the Hudson got approved and it's downtown and barely taller than other buildings.

The latest highrise to go up downtown is The 834, a 14-storey condo that will appear very similar to the condo to the right of the 834's crane, which would be the right-most crane in the photo.

Yeah, the metro area is about 340K but the city itself is only about 80K. Yet another argument for amalgamation.

I'm like Dr. Frankenstein bringing this thread back from the dead but since Victoria's in the midst of a building boom I figured this was as good a time as any to resurrect this thread. These projects are all between 6-17 stories so they won't infringe on Victoria's sacred tabletop skyline. The bottom pics are recently completed projects.

The Azzurro, a 7 story mixed use development is topped out:

The Jukebox, a long-awaited 8 story residential building has finally started construction, leaving only one lot downtown of no value to anyone

Here's the 13 story 1075 Pandora well underway:

And finally, the 14 story Hudson Walk 2:

Thanks for the page 1 update Aastra - great work!

To revive this thread, here's a recent pic of mine of the new provincial office government buildings across from city hall:
